Cards For Emily

Bring out a Smile by Doodle Dragon Studios

Happy Wednesday my blog friends.  No challenge entry for me today.  This card has a very special purpose.  I stopped over for a visit with Dustin Pike at Doodle Dragon Studios and read about Emily.   Brave little Emily is a true inspiration and a sweet little girl fighting a difficult battle.  Take a minute or two to visit Dustin's studio and then make Emily a card.  I hope our cards put many more smiles on her beautiful face.  Read about Emily HERE.  Have a wonderful week and keep Emily and her family in your thoughts and prayers.

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Sassy Cheryl Show Me #67

Saturday Salutations!  It's a perfect St. Patrick's Day in Sunny Myrtle Beach.  DH and I are spending the day cleaning and organizing his workshop.  Not fun but very necessary.  I took a break from sweeping to share my current project with Cheryl.  This is Meljen's Frog Prince.  I fell in love with this quirky digi.  Isn't he cool?   I haven't decided what the finished creation will look like but I will post when it's done.  Have fun crafting this weekend!

See The World!

Happy Sunday!
I can't believe the weekend's almost over and I CAN'T believe we all lost a precious hour of art time.  Stupid Daylight Savings! *sigh*

G-fa Giraffe has been on my mind for a while.  I finished coloring G-fa yesterday morning at Coffee and Crafts with my BFF Jeni.  We had a great time using our Copics and chatting over coffee.  Thanks Jeni <3  My co-worker Tracey inspired this card because she is leaving for a trip to Africa soon.  Tracey is a travelin' fool and quite an inspiration.  She never misses an opportunity to visit a new country or try something new.  Her travel stories have given me and DH Lou the spark to plan journeys far and wide (once the boys have graduated of course.)  I used  two items in my design space for the first time to make this card.  Jeni from Flip Flop Creations found my "Photographie" stamp at a stamp show in Columbia last year and my Labels Eighteen Spellbinders.  They were perfect for this card.  What a fun challenge.  Thanks Mo!  I hope everyone has a wonderful week and finds their lost hour somwhere!  ;)

Time for me to try my hand at a Sassy Cheryl Digi Stamp challenge.  I just adore Cheryl's digis.  My friend Jeni of Flip Flop Creations introduced me to these digis last year.  I love to create visual stories with digital stamps and I had to use this group together.
They are so VERSATILE!  Thanks Cheryl :)

Just Because...

Meljen's Challenge #99 - Orange

What a day!  Kids to school, then to work, kids from school, teenager to work, post office....ahhhhhh!  With so much driving around, I should paint the side of my minivan, start a business and call it "Kim's Taxi."  I'm sure I'm not the only one out there who feels this way :)  I'm so glad I'm able to spend the time with my boys even if it does seem rushed and hectic.  :)  I'm home for just enough time to enter my creation into Meljen's Orange Challenge.  I needed to make a card for my super-awesome sister Donna.  Donna is the best sister on the planet and I'm so blessed to have her in my life.  (Love you sis) Donna sent me an adorable little sock monkey to put in my craft corner last week and Melissa's Little Sock Monkey was the choice for my card.  You can find this fun image and many others by clicking the link above.  Gotta Go!  I'm off to Inky Digits with my BFF's Jeni and Linda!   Have a wonderful week everyone.

Magic!

Bugaboo Stamps Stella Says Sketch Challenge #105

I decided to enter this challenge using Jodie's digi of my favorite movie characters.  You can find these cute images in the Bugaboo shop by clicking here.    Being kinda' new to this whole blog challenge stuff I was sure I'd have problems following Stella's sketch rules but found the opposite to be true.  It was easier to follow a pre-determined layout.  This beats trying to extract an imaginary design out of my head any day!  I think I'm supposed to mention that this challenge is sponsored by Digi My World.  I'm still learning guys ;)  Have a great Saturday <3

Oak Pond Dictionary Word of the Day

Copexellent: AWESOME ; GREAT(co-pex-ellent)Showing considerable talent in the use of Copic markers. Those who have infused color to an image that is remarkable. The use of this word should not be taken lightly. It is earned by those individuals who sacrifice basic necessities such as sleep or sustenance to allow more time for perfecting Copic coloring skills. These individuals more than not drink copious amounts of coffee and sometimes carry their Copics everywhere just in case a random coloring moment occurs.
Enjoy your weekend!
